DIY White Hair

Few weeks ago I’ve decided that I really want to have white/silver hair so I’ve started my DIY process of bleaching my naturally blonde hair to perfect snow white hair. Well… it is TOUGH. After 2 rounds of bleaching in a space of 3 weeks 4 toners I’m a little bit closer, but still a way to go!

I’ve tested a number of products and I want to share good and bad ones!

Bleach: Jerome Russell Bblonde High Lift + 40% development cream – this didn’t work very well on my blonde hair I expected much better results, however the condition of my hair remained good.

Toner: Schwarzkopf Live Color XXL in M01 absolute hit! Really toned my yellow hair to cold, silvery blonde.

Jerome Russel white toner I’ve used – again very disappointing.

I also tried La Riche Directions White Toner – ABSOLUTE FAILURE! Even though I love their products this toner didn’t work AT ALL on my already very light hair.

La Riche Directions Silver hair dye – this however worked really nicely leaving my hair silvery and soft.

Below you can check out my progress (for some reason the hair looks a little darker), but honestly I thought that having very healthy, blonde hair it will be much easier to get to that platinum tone. I’m not giving up and will continue bleaching my hair:) For now I will deeply condition my hair for a month – using coconut oil treatment, honey/egg hair mask and using protein shampoo, once my hair feels in a better condition I will try the bleach toner treatment again! 🙂

Body Shop Fuji Green Tea lotion

I am in love with this product! The smell, consistency, price (£8!) and how silky smooth my skin feels – all in all great buy. I do like Body Shop a lot, it’s much more affordable than Lush and still very good quality and ethically made. Fuji green tea line is SO amazing. The smell is gorgeous I feel like I’m on the beach somewhere hot and tropical. I have the peeling soap which is also great 🙂 Perfect little treat to cure the holidays blues and start autumn with lovely skin and smell 🙂

Today is the day I decided to buy some make up products and just try it! 🙂 I’ve always been the natural type of girl, no make up, no fancy hair etc. Always worried about the health, quality of my complexion/hair, but life is too short to always be so cautious. I do love healthy lifestyle, eating well, gym and general taking care of myself, but I feel like I’ve taken it it too far being SO natural I was missing out all the fun of experimenting with different colours, styles and looks. I’ve spent 25 years of my life going make up free, natural blonde hair, moisturizing and using mascara only.
Maybe it’s time to try something new and finally get that candy floss pink hair 🙂

Have a great day everyone xoxo
