High end vs high street

Recently I was thinking quite a lot about high street brands copying or being inspired by fashion designers. The newest collections in many shops are literal copies of high end designs and many brands don’t even try to pretend they imitated some of the best sellers or even entire collections. While I was walking around local shopping center I’ve spotted some of the most obvious ones. Even though I quite like some of the items I think such a strong ‘inspiration’ by someone else’s ideas isn’t alright. I totally understand not everyone can afford real designer stuff and it’s nice to have something that is trendy and in fashion right now – especially when you’re a fashion junkie;) But on the other hand such ruthless stealing high end designs it’s not really okay. I think there should be a balance between being inspired and trying to incorporate some of the elements into a collection and copying the garment just using cheaper materials.

Take a look below and let me know what do you think:

There’s many many more examples just these ones really caught my eye. I’m really not sure how I feel about it – is it good or is it bad? I know for sure if I had money I would always buy the original designs and support the creators. For now I guess I will have some moral issues whilst debating buying something super trendy and totally copied from other brand 🙂

Must haves

Over the past few weeks I’ve created a little list of things that I’d like to buy soon and unluckily for my wallet it’s quite pricey list! 😉 I might change my mind about some items but at the moment these are the ones that I really want and I think will serve me for a long time.

Below are few items I would happily welcome in my collection and have been in my mind for quite a while now. It’s very tempting to blow some money on new stuff just before Christmas 😀
